It is complete! I finally got the second image and the landscape is done! Super happy about the end product and looks even better in person. Exited to get it framed and hung up on my wall for the senior show!
Finally an area not covered in snow, I took a drive down to Albert Lea Minnesota to get a southern part of the state. Just another half an hour drive to the border of Iowa. There were many different styles of landscapes to choose from. I was really interested by the tall grass, mainly because of the different colors that were seen throughout the grass gold, black, cream, and almost purple greys. Also it was off and on raining that morning so the clouds were in and out on one side and grey clouds were on the other side. When the sun peaked out it gave this beautiful warm gold color to the grass. Again can’t wait for my film to finish processing!
Me and my camera (Steve) at the Chippewa National Forest at Cass Lake Minnesota. It was a very long drive on my own but very nice scenic drive. Found a couple of area to photograph but difficult to walk around with a large camera, well worth it though. Hopefully they will be the last set of snowy images I get for some time. Now just have to wait patiently for my film to be processed then off to the darkroom!
This weekend I went to Stillwater Minnesota to photograph at a new location. Honestly, I have never been to Stillwater so it was interesting to go see this place. It is right on the boarder of Minnesota and Wisconsin only separating it by a river. It was difficult to get to a few spots and it was not quite what I had expected. I did not get that many images but I was really interested by the snow that sat on the river and the wind that moved the snow around and gave it an interesting textured look. I am hoping for my next location to actually go in some wooded area and hike in then photograph. I think I have photographed enough water areas with snow for the moment.
